To mark 2017’s Mother’s Day, Power Oil organised one of the biggest parties in town for mothers across four major cities in Nigeria simultaneously in Lagos, Ibadan, Ilorin and Port Harcourt.

The special event brought mothers from all walks of life together to unwind and feel specially celebrated by the brand, alongside their children who participated in the #MommyDearest Campaign and won invites for them.

Power Oil #MommyDearest Campaign was specifically designed to give mothers a treat and the opportunity to relax with their children who took part in the contest of sharing the most remarkable experience/ lesson learnt from their mum.

We received over 2000 entries & top 50 entries were selected from them to be invited to the event.

We executed our Father’s Day campaign by asking Power Oil lovers to share a photo with their dad, tell us something great about their dads and stand a chance to win prizes.

We got a lot of entries and wrapped up the whole campaign with an experiential Fathers Day 


Our ultimate goal was to convey to our audience that the kitchen transcends stereotypes, and the act of cooking is not confined by societal expectations or predefined roles.

We received over 200 incredible digital entries, where participants shared heartwarming stories and images of their dads creating memorable meals.

We also delved deeper digitally by urging our Power Oil Lovers to reveal their dads’ cooking masterpieces.

To boost the campaign, we leveraged content marketing to craft distinctive and relatable material for our audience. We shared amusing kitchen-related dad jokes and highlighted parallels between kitchen appliances and dads.


The campaign fostered engagement, with the most interactive entries winning hampers for deserving dads, resulting in a surge of new social media followers particularly among our male audience who felt a newfound sense of inclusion and appreciation.

More Than Just Steps: Fueled by Purpose with the Lagos Food Bank

In August of 2023, we decided to lace up our walking shoes for more than just exercise. We joined the Lagos Food Bank's 

 an initiative that combined physical activity with raising awareness for a critical cause: 

It was more than just a walk in the park (literally!). While we enjoyed the fresh air, we were also taking steps and joining hands to achieve a bigger goal: supporting the 

 initiative and the vital school feeding programs run by the Lagos Food Bank.

We believe in using our platform to make a positive impact. We understand the importance of giving back to the community and being part of solutions that address social issues. 

 is a cause close to our hearts, and the Power Stroll presented a unique opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way.

The walk itself was energizing and inspiring. We connected with fellow participants who shared our passion for making a difference. The event also provided a platform to spread awareness about the realities of child hunger in Lagos and the incredible work being done by the Lagos Food Bank.

In 2023, World Heart Day adopted the theme "Use Heart, Know Heart." Our brand, deeply committed to promoting heart health and eager to spread awareness, embraced this theme wholeheartedly. 

As part of our “Power Oil Cares for Your Heart’ Campaign, we chose to make a positive impact by organizing a health camp in the community of Makoko. This would go on to be the first ever health camp on water. 

Our primary focus during this initiative was to educate the community members about the significance of heart health. We wanted to empower the residents of Makoko to take control of their heart health and make informed decisions to lead healthier lives. 

The day ended with free heart and health checks for all. And so, as a brand, we reflect on the joy shared , realizing that this is why we're not just enthusiastic, but also driven by a purpose- to care for the hearts of Nigerians.

Power Oil celebrated World Heart day with our Power Oil Cares for Your Heart Campaign. 

In commemoration of the annual World Heart Day and also in a bid to encourage Nigerians to adopt a healthy lifestyle, Power Oil from the stables of Dufil Prima Foods Plc, has embarked on a long term healthy Heart mission to sensitize the public about ways to keep the heart functioning perfectly and how to maintain a low calories body system.

This was further established by Power Oil during the third edition of the consumer activation programme tagged ‘Pay with Calories 3.0’ held at various locations in Lagos and Ibadan, where we presented an opportunity for consumers to participate in a workout session to burn calories, after which they got rewarded with amazing gift prizes based on the amount of calories burnt on the spot. Free medical check-ups were also provided. The campaign created an exciting way for Power Oil to cater for its customers’ health in a fun, relaxing and rewarding manner. Various gift items were laid out for consumers to pick from as per calories burnt within a specified time. In support of the target of the World Heart Federation to reduce premature cardiovascular disease deaths by 25% in 2025, it has become more important for Power Oil to make the World Heart day celebration firmly established in Nigeria, It is estimated that over 60 per cent of Nigerians are at risk of heart related diseases, a leading cause of death worldwide. The consumer activation program was borne out of the necessity to encourage Nigerians to further become mindful of their heart health by making efforts to reduce or eliminate unhealthy cholesterol from the body system, as well as engaging in appropriate activities to lower the risk of blood pressure and heart-related ailments.
